I heard through the grapevine that the detroit deisels are making a trip to san antonio this summer.

Yeah and the team fees are gonna be 500 this year so you have fun with that. And you'll be taking the bus from the Cleveland Indians in Major league again. Hope you make it. Who are they gonna play in San Antonio? If they make it. Oh and deisels is spelled D I E S E L S !!!!!

Word around Texas is that the Mutiny (San Antonio NAFL Team) will not be back as a team, they didn't even finish 07. I'm not sure what other team is in San Antonio, prehaps a new team.

I don't see this trip happening, but good luck.

A quick note;

There was some fun talk between the Dallas Diesel and our guys about a battle of the Diesels when we were in Vegas. But that was the only talk about anything in Texas. And we were talking about a neutral site in Colorado or Iowa. But only talk. San Antonio, now that is a loooog trip.

There is a team in Texas that says they are playing the Diesels in San Antonio in May. In fact they say they are playing London the following week, again in San Antonio. The team is the San Antonio Ravens, a team playing in something called the U.S. Pro Football League in '09. They are supposed to have Andre Rison involved in team operations.

Thanks for the heads up. I am trying to look at it but I am having trouble to get into the board. I think if I was playing them I would be able to get in. The farthest I plan on going is to New Castle Thunder in West Pa. In fact we were talking about it today. And maybe to the Colts depending on how the divisions shake out. As of now we don't even know who is in the division.

The site says that Andre Rison is on board with them... Wasn't he the one who signed up to coach the Capital Colts, then bailed out on them mid-season? Or was that just a story?

They say they're the "flagship franchise" of something called the "U. S. Pro Football" league--but neither Google nor Ask can turn up any info on this alleged league. Could be they're not only the "flagship" team, but the only team.

Sounds to me like someone has delusions of grandeur.

Yeah, the Dallas Diesel won the nafl championship in 06 and lost in the title game this year to Kane County. From what I was told the talk between the Diesels and the Diesel was far from friendly.

I hope it works out for Dre if he does have something going on in Texas, but realistically I don't think it will.

From what several people told me there was an incident at the title game in Vegas this year over pretty much the same thing.
