I recognize some of those teams as being NAFL.
Is this another 'blanket' semi-pro league, like the MLFA (Alliance) or the NAFL? Or is this an attempt at competing with the NFL, a la the original WFL, the USFL, and the XFL?
I'd be interested in hearing more, if anybody knows.

Well I dont think its to compete with the nfl. Basicly alot of semi-pro teams are just starting to pay players down here. The equivalent to the indoor teams like port huron in stuff. I'm supposed to go to san antonio and play and get payed a couple hundred a week, and get housed. The san antonio team is one of em. if you read the front left side, it says they pay arena2 money, and got me on the bottom right side. Pretty soon it will be alot of teams paying 250-350 a game, just a matter of time. eteamz.active.com/sanantonioravens/index.cfm?

Well, I wish you the best of luck with this.
As for a lot of teams paying their players...we'll see. Seems to me that requires a lot of cash in hand, which most teams don't have and can't get.
See the National Indoor Football League and World Indoor Football League as cautionary tales. It takes more than great football and great players to make a league go.
I hope this one has what it takes. Again, good luck to you. Hope it's everything you want it to be.

I see on the website one of the teams are the DFW Diesel. Is that the Detroit Diesels or is that a differnet team? In another thread there was some talk about the Diesels paying players. Just curious.

The Detroit Diesels are not a part of this new league. The Dallas Diesel is. "DFW" stands for "Dallas/Fort Worth", as in Texas.
