how come most teams do not like to travel out of state to play games? by that i do not mean ohio. places like illinois, wisconsin, indiana, etc. do most like to stay here and battle for the mythical state championship or what. i read in a previous post about a team from minnesotta that might want to play a team here. will it happen? i really believe that would help give this level of ball mor legitimacy. what do some of yall think? dont you want to see what other places have as far as talent or is this it? some of yall chime in on this. ;D ;D
p.s- i know this is the michigan board so try not to come with the dumb s.h.i.t please.

My opinion is most teams have enough money earmarked for dues, ref's uniforms or other opportunities to throw fund raisers. I would think that travel outside the state as in Ill, Penn ,Ind would force them to ask for higher players fees or work in this tough economy to find more sponsorship. If all that fell into place they could travel if not you have to ask yourself and your team to pony up money that they might not have to carpool or rent a bus or vans. Basically if you have the means it's possible but if your on a tight budget it's unnecessarily money spent when you have great competition in your own backyard.

I agree with you coach. I'm a BIG fan of playing out of town games!! Even if its Dayton, Cincinnati, Indy and places that are about 4 to 5 hours away. I believe most players are willing to travel out of town to play, but that would mean raising team fees or asking for money every week to help pay for this cost and that cost. And with the economy the way it is, its hard for some guys to take off work or not turn down the overtime offered to them on the weekends. But if I were the owner, I would try to schedule at least one game out of town.

whats up tat, this is dre, of course. i feel you on the competition in our backyard, but would you agree that we all in the state of michigan that play semi pro, we basically know who each other is. most of us played with or against each other in some level of play here. why not go to somebody elses backyard and show them we do more here than talk bulls.h.i.t all day on a message board. it would be nice to go and whoop up on kane county, racine, mchenry county pirates(il), chicago cardinals, etc. on the other hand i understand about the high player fees ecspecially since alot of guys dont pay them anyway. just think it is a heck of a idea. come on message board stalkers, i know yall reading this so talk about some real football convo and not that bs. ;D

Okay, what competition in your backyard? I don't see you trying to play teams like the seminoles and the ravens!

Hey bigmouth think before you speak! Do you know me? Do you know the team I coach? I presume no since you talk out your a** about something you have no knowledge of. It's idiots like yourself who come on here and say the stupidest most ignorant things with no thought behind them what so ever. Just to enlighten you I coach for the Strength we have played the Seminoles and the Ravens twice in the past three years . We have also played Lima , SMT, DD , Flint Admirals the WCW the Thunder and we even scrimmaged the Force their Cship year. I don't talk smack about other teams or other players I respect this game and for the most part the men who play it. You sir are an idiot who I have wasted to much time on already. So like my grandfather says it's one thing to keep your mouth shut and look like an idiot but you open your mouth and prove it.

We had a controlled scrimmage last year and the previous year at their practice area. We did better the first year but last year you could tell they were going to do good things. Some of those teams were scrimmage situations DDD and Admirals, Ravens , Force. Game situation Seminoles , Lima , SMT , WCW and Thunder . Our record against those teams is not good but we will continue to play teams of that caliber to get ourselves to that level .

All I remember is a scrimmage. can someone tell me the different between a game and a scrimmage other than the ref's? you play the best if you want to get better. and why is it if you do not play the Seminoles or the ravens you are not playing nobody? that is the dumbest crap i have ever heard. and if i am not mistaken the ravens and the Seminoles are in are backyard dumb butt. p.s in the as long as i remember the best team in the NFL does not always win the super bowl: WINNERS 2006 The colts.... the chargers was the better team last year. 2005 Pittsburgh... The colts had the better records 2004 New England...The steelers was the best team 2003 New England... they were the better team 2002 Tampa won... the eagles was the better team 2001 new england... the rams was better team 2000 The ravens.... the titans was the better team need i go on. wake the fuk guys the Ravens and the Seminoles are not the best teams in the city. It may look that way on paper but that is why we play the game.

in a scrimmage if you turn the ball over possession does not change there are no down markers and some times no yard lines there are not refs there is no clock there is no 2nd third or fourth down it is more like a game of pick up football than a actual game
no I do see you point in you still play your best but then again you do that in practice too
