Hmmm...coach, from your post and your indication of "insider info", it would seem the Vikings are going to the GLFL, also. Not tryin' to start nothin', just sayin... As for culling the number of leagues operating here, the NAFL was never very strongly represented, and with the TC Wolves moving to the GMFL and the Stealth possibly looking at a new league--and the Vikings, maybe, to the GLFL?--it looks like the NAFL may be history. Can't say I'd be sorry to see it; I never much cared for them. That would leave the EMCFL, GMFL, and GLFL as the Big Three here in Michigan. The IFL still has two teams here--the Blaze and the Panthers--but unless the GDFL has made some inroads, those three leagues represent the lion's share of the Michigan teams. There won't be any Michigan teams in the IFL in 2011.

I can't speak for any of the other 2010 members of the IFL. An official announcement will come soon.
I can say that the GLFL will be very solid, very respectable, and we anticipate our best season yet.

If we go 12 (or more) teams however, it is only likely that'd we'd cross paths in the post-season - God willing. See you in a few weeks.

Although we would have liked to have announced our full roster of teams by this point, we do not want to hinder anyone's ability to make their choice on a league for 2011. I do know that many teams were expecting certain things out of their leagues for the coming season and all indications are that those things may not happen. With a lot of movement going on with teams committing (then decommitting) to various leagues, it would not be wise for us to announce our lineup of teams and, in turn, shut some very competitive teams out.
We have a Western Conference meeting in Ft. Wayne, Indiana this Sunday (January 23rd) at Noon. We plan to propose a couple divisional alignments (based on teams we have committed by then) and schedule options to vote on.
Things are only looking better as we near the 2011 schedule being finalized.

Battle Creek: Stand up organization run by great people. Good luck on your move and I hope you build on last seasons success! Thank you Devon. Congrats to you and the whole Warrior Nation on another championship season! I hope one day soon we are able to renew our competitive series, I know full well we'll be able to offer you all more of a contest than we did in our last meeting. I've heard some HFL/GLFL post-season rumors for 2011 and am excited to see it develop. Take care and keep rollin'...
