Am I the only person disappointed in what happened wiht Les miles? That could have been the down south plug Michigan needed to get over the hump...hump meaning OSU

things change day to day...Nick Saban? Michigan said they wouldn't talk to him till after the championship game. Wait till next week before you bury this story.

I would also like to see them contact Peterson from Boise state, young guy with modern football outlook. I can live without Miles, that contract paying him 3+ mil a year might come back to bite them some day.

It's far from over, Miles had to do that to get his guys to settle down a bit and keep focus. Plus show that he's committed to giving his best effort for the Championship game and probably the Bowl game. He is still the front runner I think. But Kelly From Cincy i think is the heavy #2. Great track record everywhere he goes, he did some wonderful things this year but especially in years past. I think he just stepped up a few notches.

It will never happen but why not one of the black head coaches out here. Brian Kelly is not bad would bring the spunk needed to that 1989 offense UM runs. Also PT B Kelly can go down south and get some speed with that offense he runs. Kirk Ferentz who is also another canidate , dont like him runs a wack offense also. How about Steve Spurrier south connections and a wide open offense and he would get the weapons since Um is a national power in Recruiting. I know Les Miles has UM ties but I dont see him lasting long In the glove.

I do not think Les Miles is the way to go either. To me I think the best option is, and dont laugh because I heard he feels a little overwelmed in the NFL... Bobby Petrino. If the dude can score 40+ at louisville, imagine what he will do with the talent Michigan gets. Probably wont happen, but I was half wishing Lloyd would have left last year so we could get him. Ferentz isnt really in the running. I have heard that he has some connections at UM that are hyping him, but the big shots arent interested.

I hope that no one takes the job and the whole University folds like the Saints! Screw Michigan!

Down South, I personally think race should not matter when looking at picking up a coach, but they have interviewed Ron English 2wice. I like Rich Rodriguez from West Virginia. He has pretty much accomplished everything he can there, he also runs the best form of spread option in the entire country.

That helps them because Rodriguez would not recruit guys like that anymore. Do you think Urban Meijer had his typical QB when he went to Florida? No, he recruited Tebow. Let's say you are a dual threat QB. And MICHIGAN has Rich Rodriguez. Where would you wanna go?
QT... you talkin bout Greg Schiano from Rutgers?

Race should matter when there's 119 division 1 schools and only 5 div 1 black coaches 2 in Div 2 and 1 div 3 black football coaches and outside of HSBC 5 in 1 AA . I wasn't even going to take it there, as you see everyone of the candidates I spoke on was white so don't think I was making it a race agenda. But now that you've said something well pal lets see, just about every team in college football is predominantly black but almost none of the college's have black HEAD coaches umm! but hey it shouldn't be a race thing your right, I'm not a racist but I do love my people and that there is a disgrace. Let's see they interviewed coach English 2wice as you say, but they was still trying to lower More Miles in to the Big House umm! stop think about it. The only reason they gave him 2 looks was his office was down the darn hall! they have no intention of hiring a black man at UM or any "big time program," (meaning the traditional powers UM, OSU, ND never again, OU,Texas! USC,) shoot they barely let Black QB's run their offense and it isn't to many of them either so don't tell me it ain't about race when hiring a coach. When you know 1st hand when it comes to college only 2 things count MONEY & Race! and all my white friends I still love ya ll just stating the obvious.

I wouldn't put English out of this equation yet, the guy can recruit and from what I heard everybody loves this guys fire and intensity. He also interviewed for the Arkansas job so he's making the rounds, but he will end up as a head coach either here or somewhere probably sooner rather than later. but he's still young and probably needs a good starter HC job to better fill out his resume for future opportunities. If they interviewed him twice then theres a reason for it
