Coaching is About Race?
Hmm...let's see. Play high school ball, go to college, play college ball maybe, get a degree, asst. coach high school ball or college div. 2-3 for 5-10 yrs, earn teaching certification, asst. coach at div. 1 school for 5-10 yrs earn masters degree and maybe just maybe you'll make head coach. Education and determination are what makes it happen.
My hats off to any and all coaches. No matter what the pigment of your skin is we all bruise and bleed the same.

The race card is a heck of a card to play in anything. Yes we all bleed the same, you are 100% right, but we as Black coaches no matter if we are qualified or not are not afforded the same opportunities as a White coach. If you believe anything different, you may need to take your blinders off. It has been a many of times that a black coach was not given a fair chance at the job. I witnessed this first hand when i was at the University of Minnesota when Tony Dungy a Minnesota Alum was turn down an interview for what ever reason that they could think of. Before anyone ask, yes I did like the coach that came in a great deal.

Hmmm.......does that change, with a change in management or ownership? All folks like dealing in their comfort zones and change for some folks, for what-ever reasons is uncomfortable. To those who do, respect is due, and to those who don't, get on board and ride this train.

my mans D_Rich whats the science son dun! nan my carreer is about up big fella Im 25 and realizing the door is about shut. So I am going to do what I always preach, bring my nephews' down south to live with me, let them play some Southern ball. Ill be coaching DB's, WR's and the speed coach at Little Rock Central this spring, so Ill have the pleasure of coaching them and being a father figure at the same time, I have to make sure my nephews' doesnt make the same mistakses I did, by taking football for granted. Hopefully with me being on my PQ's and them doing their part, maybe the ACC or SEC will come calling. But hey D_Rich hit me up big fella 501 379 8086

Blev my family made that point, but Im not sure if he'll take it seeing they brought him in and did not discuss any future football talks with him. . Hey Mitch I know you see it differently but it isn't. But think about this we live in the same place but we live in 2 different worlds. Crazy but true |

I'm not dumb. I know things are different and things go on. However, WE need to work towards changing it not complaining about it and make it ALL about that. I've seen it first hand in my life, and will never be a part of it. I just hope that man can someday be judged on what he stands for and nothing else. This day may never come for some, but WE should work to make it a part of our lives.
