Why are all the 4-10 teams in the states passing on this mighty league and powers from others states turning its back and joining elsewhere? is it the travel that is ridiculous, is it the late start date, or is it this once mighty power wont change for the better? the lions folded, the force has gone, and the latest im hearing is the fire and wolverines are pondering going to a league more travel friendly. If this does happen with those teams moving on this league will be a real two team league with the championship already determined. the powers that be of this great league you are on your last legs breathe life into this once mighty league with a big splash, and something to shake up the semi pro world. cause if you guys continue to stand pat and let these other league take the better teams and you add no one you will get left behind if you already havent.

What I think is that the MCFL is a victim of its own success, Before the previous two champs (Ravens, Force) the MCFL was a two team league (Lions, Sems) for the like the past 4-5 years, with No Michigan teams ever beating the Seminoles Michigan owners would not take the risk of getting pounded week in and week out and not contending for a league championship. You know how semi pro is around here, but anyway I don't know what happened in Ohio but I think that was the reason for so few teams joining, now in the present day the Fully loaded force (Ted, Frank, Hoss lol I only know those names cuz of the drama) beat the Thunder Racine and Wolverines Soundly I might add and the sems beat the strength and thunder, yeah those little Ravens beat the Ads also, so all those teams that joined the USFA or USFL whatever it is IN MY opinion joined the league because they honestly didn't think they could win a league championship. Now the MCFL is scrambling to find quality teams to keep the league structure but is scared to step outside the box...JUST MY OPINION NO DISRESPECT TO ANY TEAM OR LEAGUE.....THANK YOU

I disagree Prime. Only can speak for us. Travel, and commitment from other joining teams.

As well would I , Our sole reason for the USFA was based on travel and competition . It is far greater a game to play teams such as the Seminoles or Ravens on off league weeks then play the Thunder and Wolverines on league weeks. Rather than driving to Cleveland one week and Ft.Wayne the following week only be in G.R two weeks after. The travel conditions in the MFLA were only going to get worse with travel extending out further and further. We have an opportunity to play the toughest teams in the Midwest and they are all in our back yard ,thats tough to pass up.

It's easy to say you're not trying to disrespect teams and say "In my opinion" when you have such a cocky attitude.
Being confident and cocky is too different things. One is a good attribute and the other is sheer ignorance. JUST MY OPINION...
No I don't play for any of those teams so think of another rebuttal.

I feel ya on the travel thing Coach Tat, but playing every team twice means that if a team folds you lose two games rather than one. The circumstances could dictate that you get stuck with a field bill like we did last year with the Makos, then all the expense you saved on travel just went out the window. I hope it works out but it would make me nervous. We only travelled to two games last year over 3 hrs, I dont consider it that bad for the competition level. I would agree with some detractors that the MCFL has some issues, like the allstar list not coming out on time, but I talk to alot of owners and coaches during the course of a month and I am happy were I am. But I will say this, I do hear that teams dont want to come to the MCFL because they dont want to play the Ravens or Semnoles (we dont scare anybody) and then take their chances with everybody else. I understand the thinking but dont agree. We havent done it yet but every year we play the Seminoles we give them our best shot and you know what they can only play 11 guys. They may be good but so was USC when Stanford beat them, so was Michigan when App State beat them. This of all years should be the one to demonstrate that on any given saturday anyone can win. I know the Seminoles are Ravens do alot of crowing (pardon the pun), not so sure I wouldnt boast a little myself if I had done what they have. But crowing never put a point on the board that I was aware of. If your in this for the right reasons, dont be timid, do what I do tell Bat and Rob your gonna kick their butt, then give it a go. They will respect the competition, and you for coming after them no matter what the outcome.

We played the Seminoles and scrimmaged the Ravens last year Coach Clark and i'm sure we will have both of them on the schdule this year as well so us not wanting to play the top teams in the state or anywhere else for that matter is not our reason for joining this league it may be some other teams reason but not ours. As my Coach (Tat) has said we made this move because it is whats best for our team. Good luck to everyone this season and stay safe out there fellas!!!
LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD!!!!!!

See message boards can have regular disagreements and opinions without cussing and fussing, it only takes intelligent people. Sorry Mr wow, that does not include you, you could have just signed in and stated your opinion as a man like everybody else!

Hey "i wonder why", grow a pair an post your name. I work on the schedule for the league, then each team in the league votes on whether or not to approve it. If you're from an MCFL team, PLEASE volunteer to do the schedule, you'll see how easy it is to keep everyone happy. Also, look up travel mileage for each team since I've been working on the schedule ( 4 years)... we're in the middle of the pack.
Also, we opened with the Seminoles last year. So much for me taking care of my own team. I try to be fair to everyone. It's called integrity. Don't challenge mine.
