So what league are they joining, or are they going to play independent, or are they just folding?

Tough week for the GLFL. The IFL released a statement welcoming the Miami Valley Warriors as one of the 2008 expansion teams and now the Oakland County Raiders pull out! Perhaps a union with the USFA would be a wise? Tentatively seems like some very logistically-friendly rivalries could potentially make a Midwest super-alliance probable for the Summer 'ball clubs.

Why merge 10 teams is plenty?

The MCFL survived nicely with 8-10 teams for several years before deciding to expand last year.
Let's wait and see. The GLFL seems to be on solid footing, so I anticipate they will do alright. even with 10 teams.

Call me an elitist, but I just think this would be the one time when quality could be enhanced by quantity! Best of luck to all in '08, may you have an injury free season.
