QB. B.Young was shot and killed

I just received word that Brian Young (B.Young to those who knew him) was shot and killed as he was leaving a card game. I don't post on any website but this is a tragedy because another brother as been murdered and adds to a reality that we as men of color face everyday senseless violence. We as coaches, owners, players, friends and heck... just men need to put aside the egos and come together and pay our respects because it could have been you . It ain't about what team you play for or what you think of him, it's about recognizing that he was a football player and therefore... part of a brotherhood. He played for the Vipers and we all need to rally together. Call Searcy ASAP and give the Vipers whatever they need at this moment. Call any / players or coaches that you know and get the word out , let's show our support.

darn... Thats all i can say right about now. I was just with the homie the other day!!! Regardless of what anybody had to say about him he truly was a stand up guy and one heck of a football player! I salute you B Young...

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. We went to battle together with the Macomb Strength for 3 years, and I can truly say he will be missed on and off the field. This is the time that we need to realize take no day that you are given for granted. This has truly hit home, but it needs to make us stronger, STEADFAST UNMOVEABLE. He will be missed.

This one really hit me, my sympathies goes out to the Young family. Me and most of the team just left the Young resident and his mom is really taken it hard but she was happy to see us there. B. Young was one of the hardest working players that I have ever played with, he will be missed. Due to the tragedy I have decided to cancel our green & gold game and also our pre-season games. From talking to his mom the arrangements will most likely be on Saturday. The Family is also taken donation so if anyone would like to donate anything we will be at our practice field from 11-1 on Saturday and 3-5 on Sunday.
