I think it's an awesome move by Batman (not that my opinion matters) but it will make the League that much stronger! The VT Ice Storm will find out what it's like to play a team from the M.C.F.L. they better "GET THEIR MIND RIGHT"!!!!!  |

Just a question....there are several posts referring to gas money / stipends etc.
Since the MCFL is an amateur league, is that allowable? I'm fairly certain that if a player is compensated for participating, that technically forfeits their amateur status, which would in turn impact any players hoping to get a shot in college somewhere.

Well if your worried about college then don't except the money and there's no problem what so ever. Other thing I was told is you could just donate the money to some sort of charity and you good. I don't know how true the later is but it came from someone in admissions at WMU

I agree with "dont believe it" there is no way Batman can keep feeding these guys the "batjuice". They will see the real Seminoles when they get in the batmobile and head to gotham city and find out the batsignal blew a bulb. No way this works out.

i believe this just like i believed when batman said that mtv was goona do a documentary on the seminoles back in 05? or how bout when the bombers folded and he said he had their whole team and were gonna win everything? this is just another promotional ploy by sly jennings, to get people on the noles bandwagon.
you can only play 11 on the field at once, and we will see how 50 superstars act when they get around each other. how about alliances when get formed between the force players, lions players and noles players. because we all know the noles starters arent gonna like them bringing in ringers to take thier spots. and we know how thuggish the noles are, better wear kevlar under your shoulder pads homies.

ok, riddle me this. With new uni's coming and all the great players coming that will drive 3hrs one way twice a week for practice and fall into place as good soldiers under uncle teddy, just how much is the player fee for the sems this year to support all the new uni's and the gas $$ that bat has to pay to get this coaching powerhouse? Thats gonna leave a mark..!

Congratulations! If it all comes to fruition, the 'Noles will have greatly improved an already impressive team. Good luck next season.
Instead of all the hatin', everyone else should take note of organizations that are not accepting the status quo and trying to improve on and off the field.

Thats gonna leave a mark..! What you fail to realize is that there are far more people involved in helping Batman than you know. As a matter of fact, another veteran is meeting this week with a potential sponsor that will cover jerseys and as well as gas cards for some of the people traveling these distances. Plus the people coming over to play are character guys with experience, and they will fight for that common goal with the rest of us...to win every game we play. Make sure to come and check out a game next season to see just how well 50 "superstars" play together. Soooo, let the speculation start once again for those who are not involved with the organization. |

WOW THIS IS AMAZING, THIS SEEMS LIKE A MCFL ALLSTAR TEAM. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THE THREE OF THE BEST TEAMS AND COMBINE THEM. THESE THREE TEAMS ALONG WITH THE RAVENS WERE HEAD AND SHOULDERS BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE LEAGUE. Who said we would be playing in the MCFL. That is still up in the air. Could be NAFL or Independent. The Ravens had a great season and have become a great rivalry. Remember it was those two Coaches that put a game plan together on both O and D and manhandled the Ravens. No question you have to have players but Hollywood said he talked to some of the Force players and they said it was those two dudes that made it happen.
We will all get along fine. Dead weight will be gone along with any attitude. I know those guys from the Lions and Force and they will fit in fine. Plus I hear those two do not put up with head cases and they both played this game at a high level. i hear the Hoss dude is well connected and we needed that to. I hear number 21 of the Force got signed by the Arena 1 team in Grand Rapids because of him.

Thanks Hogman and Aaron, my parents always say the more people talking about u, hating, spreading venom on you.........the more - YOU MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT. People tend to not talk about losers or people that have nothing going on. Why would they have to?. They not doing ANYTHING!!!!!!
The greatest asset of LOSERS are that they can come up with a million reasons why something won't work.....and not ONE reason why it will. Fortunately, I try to remove myself from people like that. I just try to concentrate on the ONE reason things will work and build on that. These idiots people spreading venom on this message board no nothing about what's going on - and are nothing more then HATERS, LOSERS, SCARED COMPETITORS, even players from within that are salty as heck by the forecast of this UNION and what it might mean. The fact of the matter is, you have no idea that a lot of the things THAT were items and obstacles the braintrust of this team discussed LONG before we thought about the business of this team.
No, it's no BAT magic trick or promo for recruiting. YOU HOPE IT IS!!! Unfortunately, projects like the forecast Noles documentary in the past didn't come to fruition, but that was the nature of the business and beyond my control. When u get a chance dummy see how many pilot projects get killed before it hits the table.
What is in my control is the future of the Detroit Seminoles and the betterment and advancement of the team. While a lot of you same anonymous COWARDS hide behind fictitious internet names - probably scorned players, lifetime losers, and competitors feeling that the BAR just MIGHT have been raised and you can't COMPETE - we chose to be PROACTIVE. Be very clear of this - The keys to the Seminole Nation will always be in my control but I'm smart enough and progressive enough each year to at least put some efforts to IMPROVE my organization ...ON & OFF the field. The Detroit Seminoles have gown to the championship game 12 years in a row - either being a champion or as the last 2 years would dictate - runerup. For all you BUMS would loser mentalities and no commitment to excellence - I find losing championship games FAILURE.
The fact of the matter is the Detroit Ravens have raised the BAR for the Detroit Seminoles and everyone else. They no longer are a novelty - but one of the top 5 teams or better in the country - and are worthy CHAMPIONS. I saw a lot of the early year Seminoles in them...the HUNGER...the FIRE. The 07 MCFL CHAMPIONS - are young, innovative, and full of LIFE & ENERGY. They play football with youth, motivation and have fun doing it. I'm no fool, u either retool....or DO NOTHING and accept your FATE from a team that's proven they can beat you. I just chose not to do what a lot of you teams continue to do - ACCEPT MEDIOCRITY.
For the new Seminoles 08 REGIME. It's no need to explain to these clowns and HATERS what we doing. They will come at us from every angle...and trust me...it will be people you LEAST expect - like TEAMMATES or worst even people within your camp. I'm a realist to know their are EVEN players within the Seminole camp that question greatly the nature of the move....but I guarantee you this - when they see it THEY wont. I already know there will be a huge negative side and cult following of HATERS - praying that this fails. It's in their best interest of SELF that is does, because LORD knows if they have to look in the mirror or closet...this could be UGLY. They will find out sooner enough that we not a bunch of IDIOTS that just went into this as stupid bumkins putting MAGIC and DREAMS on paper......hoping they come true. The reality is..THEY SCARED. It's not that they find great pleasure in projecting that is will FAIL...........It's more, that they find greater FEAR that it will SUCCEED!!! They FEAR the whole idea that SMARTER men then THEY - are actually are taking a more progressive/intelligent step to semi-pro RATHER then the bs recreational concept of some fo these teams built on a bench warming loser getting mad and starting his own team with no Plan, no ideas, and no clue on what it takes to be successful.
Bat's will always be the COMMANDER & CHIEF of the Seminoles Nation, but when I see opportunity to improve the team my ego is not above finding a heck'uve pilot and captain. Ted is more then qualified to provide those skills. Like Aaron explained, there are so many other people and resources working in the background on this one and not just Bat's, Ted, Spry, Doug, Hoss, etc. Like Brothers, Don Cornelius said whether you believe or not really doesnt matter. IT'S GOING DOWN and we could care less that you have no insight or understand into it. All I know is it's been well thought out and Ted S is the best man for the job. Your approval or confirmation of Ted or Hoss is not needed...nor do we care.
This nation will be united as one single team with one purpose and goal and we NOT care not how people feel or judge us. We going to let History be the judge of this. For all you HATERS who HOPING...NO - PRAYING, that tis fails......you will be UNCOMFORTABLE as heck in 08 - because this is going to get WORST far before it gets BETTER for you. If you think I'm lying stay tuned.

There is not going to be a Noles, Force, Lions merger. This is an open roster with players competing for positions. As one of the Detroit Diesel said in early post your general roster or nucleus or core of players is always about roughly 25-30 guys...and you lose players every year to attrition factors. Adding players is what you do every year. We not trying to destroy other teams for the betterment of ours. Ted was a FREE coach on an open market. Even in the most extreme cases ONLY a few (5-7 players plus or minus) Ted loyalist - Force players MAY follow to play in Detroit. The contingent from the Lions is even smaller. We still going to have open tryouts for ANYBODY that has the talent to play. What's hilarious is that someone suggested that we promised people that they would be starters. That's ridiculous. The only thing we have promised is that the BEST and most COMMITTED players to TEAM will be given a fair shot to compete for a starting job. If your a baller is that the only thing you want??? |
