i think it is blown way out of proportion. i know its illegal and somewhat immoral fighting and killing dogs but i don't think its the worst thing in the world. leonard little killed someone in a drunk driving crash and got less than that and. 23 months is a long time.

This world is all messed up because the more I hear people talk the more it seems to me that Dogs are more important than Black people or any minority. Hey just my opinion. Also this is just another opinion I have you can smoke cigarettes (they kill) and leave your family broke, but you cant smoke crack (it also kills) and leaves your family broke umm. You can Hunt Dear, Birds, Squirrels, Raccoons, ect... and they harm nobody! but you cant fight a bit bull who's the cause of a # of death's and close deaths each year umm. He also failed a drug test during trial, and lied to the judge. He got every thing he deserves. Lets hope others take note and throw the book at these "famous" people who get caught doing stupid stuff. There are others that should be headed in with him.

He was also aiding and establishing a gambling operation that crossed state lines and that makes him a target for the RICO act and brought the feds in and thats why he took a plea bargain. He got off easy, because the minimum sentencing for RICO act convictions is HARSH and he was a goner and he knew it if he decided to go to trial. He will also face State charges so he isn't done with jail time even when this tour of cells is up. He pleaded to lessor charges to avoid a racketeering charge that would have gotten him 10-20. Not to mention the 20 mil the Falsons want back. Can't do the time, then don't do the crime.

But, break one of them hunting rules thats been established and you are going to face some punishment (probably jail time). Hunting is a primative form of life and survival... all wild animals do it, and essentially we are wild animals, so to compare hunting wild animals to forcing pits (who are not wild animals, meaning they don't live out in the world on their own, hunting other wild animals to survive) who are pets, animals who are considered "mans" best friend, yet man wants to kill em for entertainment and money... F U C K THEM... if they want to gamble and train to fight for money, maybe they should step in the ring instead. Ya feel me!

Also, lying to the sentencing judge doesn't help yur cause either, he got caught with a failed drug test while awaiting sentencing and a couple other idiotic moves. He gets three years of closely supervised probation which includes extensive drug and alcohol testing and revealing anything and everything he does to a parole officer. One toke of the weed and he goes back to prison so the party ain;t over even after he gets out.

Mike Vick got too much time huh? I don't see any of you talking about the guy from Alabama that got 102 years for dog fighting. He was sentenced before Vick was. You can say it's causes he's famous, but a common person got WAY more time than M. Vick did!

Having played minor league football for about 7 years and mid major college football and now a practicing attorney.
First, pit bulls are aggressive dogs with proper training and love can be good pets. All kinds of dogs have turned on children including poodles.

I agree on Leonard Little. He should never been allowed to play pro football again. He killed an innocent mother because he was drinking and driving and second he was arrested again after he got out for drinking and driving. He should have gone to prison for 20 years on that alone.

If he killed your wife or child you would have went after him yourself.

On dog fighting, that is what they do in the south and southwest like moon shining. They should have looked into this years ago so the Vick case has brought light to this world of dog fighting. Torturing animals is wrong and though not as serious as doing it to people it is still a vile act.

I agree they could have got him on the Rico. Vick got what he deserved fro several reasons. He lied to the FBI, to the judge, to the owner of the Falcons and the Commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell. He tested positive for drugs, yes I know it was marijuana but he was told he was going to be tested and he was still an idiot for doing drugs. They gave him many chances to come clean and he did not. He has no one to blame but himself.

He will lose over 100 million in revenue because he was arrogant and thought he was above the law. If he would have come clean and been up front and not done drugs, he would have got less then a year and could have played in 2009. he made roughly over 100 K for his dog fighting ring and was the MAN to all his street thug punks. Well do the math, he betrayed his team-mates, his family and the general public by all of his actions.

I hope he understands he lost all of his credibility, over 150 million in revenue and he will never be 100 per cent Michael Vick when he gets back. I do believe he deserves a second chance when he pays his dues and I hope people will forgive him if he admits how bad the decisions he made. He does have many good qualities. It is the bad ones that brought him down.
I know after 12 months, his attorneys will appeal for leniency because he has been a model prisoner and he may get out in 15-18 months. Only time will tell. Bottom line, never lie to the FBI or your teammates or family or the Judge. Does not matter how much money you have.. He still has the state charges hanging over his head. Hopefully they run concurrently with the Federal time. The Feds are different then the state. They do not forgive as easily and you do most of the time you are sentenced to.

Tell that to every pet lover worldwide. Dogs have saved many of lives and have brought much joy to many households.
We have 2 dogs and my 4 children would be devastated if something happen to our dogs. They are loved and treated well and they have brought much joy to our family. I would beat Michael Vick's A-- if he hurt our dogs.

Read the article @ the link. Pit bulls are bread to fight for a reason! Because they have a viciouse gene! No matter how a pitt is raised it has the potential to turn in a instant!
